Peptidyl Arginine Deiminase (PAD) enzyme products
PAD enzymes are transcriptional co-regulators that catalyze the calcium dependent conversion of specific arginine residues, present in for example histones and other proteins, to citrulline. In diseases such as Multiple Sclerosis and Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) PAD enzymes seem to
be deregulated. For instance in RA, these enzymes become active when they exit the cell in regions of joint inflammation where they subsequently deiminate arginine residues present in proteins such as vimentin and fibrinogen. The level of PAD activity has been correlated with RA severity.

Collagen Antibody Induced Arthritis (CAIA) mouse model for Rheumatoid Arthritis
An efficient mix of anti-collagen antibodies, for the generation of a Collagen Antibody Induced Arthritis (CAIA) mouse animal model. This CAIA model is ideal for rapidly screening novel arthritis therapeutics and to study the mechanisms involved in the development of arthritis. The CAIA antibodies can be delivered directly to clients for in-house animal generation. Alternatively, under collaboration with third parties complete animal studies using these CAIA antibodies are offered by Monosan.
