 New Monosan Multidrug Resistance Antibodies

New Monosan Multidrug Resistance Antibodies

Monosan logo

Chemotherapy has many advances in the treatment of disseminated tumors and although it is quite effective in treating certain cancers, most other types of cancer respond to chemotherapy poorly or partially. Failure of chemotherapeutic regimen may be due to different factors including the inability of the drug to reach the tumor site. Tumor cell that are insensitive to anticancer drugs frequently have a multidrug resistance MDR phenotype. The MRP gene product, Multidrug Resistance-associated protein has been shown to confer a similar resistance phenotype. The understanding of these mechanisms is fundamental to develop strategies aimed to prevent or circumvent resistance, thus improving the results of chemotherapy.
