New phosphorylation ELISAs for lysates

NEW Phosphorylation ELISAs for lysates

We are pleased to announce that RayBiotech is now offering new  Phosphorylation ELISA kits to detect key intracellular signal transduction molecules in cell lysates.

RayBiotech already offers Cell-based Phosphorylation ELISA kits that detect site-specific phosphorylation in situ in adherent cell lines. (See Skvortsov, et al, Proteomics Clin Appl. 2009; Kanda and Watanabe, Eur J Immunol. 2008; Hashizume, et al. Rheumatol. 2008.)

Now we are offering new PhosphoELISA kits that detect site-specific phosphorylation in cell lysates. There are two versions of each ELISA kit, allowing for detection of the phopho-protein alone, or the phospho- and total protein in the samples.

Most of these phosphorylation assays are approximately 10 times more sensitive than Western blot, plus they are well suited for testing multiple samples.

Kits detecting phosphorylation for the following targets are available for immediate sale:

Human EGFR(Tyr1086)
Human EGFR(Ser1070)
Human/mouse Stat1(Tyr701)
Human/mouse Stat1(Ser727)
Human/mouse Stat3(Tyr705)

Coming soon:

Human/mouse/rat Akt(Ser473)
Human EGFR(Tyr992)
Human EGFR(Tyr1045)
Human/mouse/rat Erk1(Thr202/Tyr204) and Erk2(Tyr185/187)
Human/mouse/rat Mek1(Ser217/221)
Human/mouse Met(Tyr1234)
Human/mouse p38 alpha(Thr180/Tyr182)

RTK Phosphorylation Antibody Array:

The RayBio® Human RTK Phosphorylation Antibody Array kits
are a very rapid, convenient and sensitive assay to simultaneously detect protein phosphorylation on 71 different receptor tyrosine kinases and downstream effectors, allowing you to monitor activation or function of important biological pathways.

By monitor changes in protein tyrosine phosphorylation in your experimental model system, you can verify pathway activation in your cell lines without spending excess time and effort in performing an analysis of immunoprecipitation and/or Western Blot.

The Human RTK Phosphorylation Array is available in both the membrane and glass-slide formats. The latter is cited in a recent publication by Qi, et al, BMC Cancer, 2009

EGFR Phosphorylation Array:

Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) signaling is a complex process that can activate multiple signal pathways by recruiting diferent downstream effectors (reviewed in Morandell, et al. Proteomics. 2008). These receptors can form homo- and hetero-dimers and are activated by binding of various ligands, resulting in multiple phosphorylation patterns that can affect which downstream effectors are activated (Olayioye, et al. Mol Cell Bio. 1998; Graus-Porta, et al. EMBO J. 1997). Thus, discerning phosphorylation patterns on EGFR-family receptors is very important to understanding their function.

The RayBio® Human EGFR Phosphorylation Antibody Array kits detect phosphorylation of EGFR and related ErbB receptors at 17 specific sites. This is a unique product only available from RayBiotech, and it is presently available only in the membrane format.

The array features monoclonal capture antibodies for phosphorylation at the following sites:

EGFR/ErbB1: Tyr845, Tyr992, Tyr1045, Tyr1068, Tyr1086, Tyr1148, Tyr1173, Ser1046/1047, Ser1070
ErbB2: Tyr877, Tyr1112, Tyr1221/1222, Tyr1248, Thr686, Ser1113
ErbB3: Tyr1289
ErbB4: Tyr1284
